The control devices
Precision instruments sharpen the expert eyes of our colour masters.
Seeing the machine operators immersed in the creation of the ink formulas and in the verification of their stability, is a fascinating moment, consisting of knowledgeable and scrupulous control operations.
Test after test, however, the human eye suffers a stress due to observation which may compromise the objectivity and the appropriateness of judgement. For this reason our colour experts use precision instruments aimed at guaranteeing a perfect mixture: the DENSITOMETRE which measures the consistency of the colour in comparison to a set value or, in other words, the quantity of ink deposited on a sheet; the SPECTROPHOTOMETRE, extremely useful when formulating a new ink, it measures the distance of the colour from a given gradation. It is sort of an electronic eye that positions the colour within a colour space, through coordinates expressed in degrees of brilliance.
The ink area is also equipped with a machine that simulates and accelerates the aging process to test the materials, the inks and the glues in order to understand how they will behave through time. Quality is such only if it is long-lasting.
