Design
Our packaging must be a winner before it enters the machine.
Our customers often say that we are almost pedantic during the technical evaluation phase of the project. Then they thank us. Cristina’s involvement in the project spaces through various levels: from the creative phase requested by those customers who entrusts us with the entire packaging design, to the executive step needed to verify the technical feasibility of an already existing design.
Each job is a complex project which combines different variables, and every customer is unique. There are those who provide us with a cardboard mock-up which we have to transform in transparent plastic; those who submit to us a very precise graphic draft of the project on which we run a scrupulous preliminary technical verification; those who benefit from an in-house designer and involve us in the technical and commercial analysis of the project; and then there are those who let us do everything, trusting our long experience and our aesthetic taste.
Cristina’s design office works with creativity and method, without disregarding production and distribution requirements: they works on constructions and cutter dies, printing solutions and special effects at the same time evaluating transport issues and limitations imposed by shelf space in the point-of-sales.
The technical drawing is the official document on which Cristina bases the whole production. That’s why it requires so much time and care. They are very hectic days, with an intense exchange of information with the customer, with painstaking verifications and meeting between the technical staff and account managers, sometimes involving also production department managers. The customer’s approval is a crucial moment, since the job does not start without it. Our preproduction procedure is long, rigid and disciplined but this approach is repaid by our customers’ trust, even though Cristina relaxes only when the package is in the shop.
